Clean and hull strawberries; place in a bowl. Decide what you will be serving with your strawberries; powdered sugar, whipped cream and/or chocolate fondue. Pour powdered sugar into a small, decorative bowl. Scoop whipped topping, such as Cool Whip into a decorate bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in a sauce pan over low heat. Stir continually to avoid burning. Once melted, remove from heat. Pour cream into a 1 1/2 quart saucepan set over medium heat. When the cream begins to simmer, lower the heat and add the melted chocolate. Whisk for 1 minute over low heat, then turn off the heat. Continue whisking until the mixture is smooth. Cool slightly before using. The sauce will remain liquid at room temperature for about 2 hours, then it will thicken. You can soften it by reheating it on low over the stove top and whisking until heated through.

Note: Because strawberries are seasonal, you may substitute bananas, pineapple or kiwi. Be sure to add the fruit to your grocery list.
